BRAVE

- Tomiko Van (伴都美子)

Hi wa nobori kurikaeshi
Kyou ga hajimaru
Utau tori kasumu yume
Tamashii no koe

The sun rises once again,
And today begins --
The birds singing, a hazy dream,
And the voice of my soul...

Mukai-kaze wa mada tsuyoku fukitsukeru
Soshite kodoku o ajiwau
Mune no itami ga uzukidashite mata
Takanaru kodou

The wind is still blowing hard in my face,
And I taste loneliness.
The ache in my heart gets worse,
And my heart beats faster...

Mada minu ashita o kaete yuku no sa
Kokoro no mama
Kizutsuki hashirinukete kita daichi no ue
Hana ga saku itsu no hi ka
Sorezore ni sakihokorou

I'll change the tomorrow I've yet to see...
I'll let my heart decide.
I ran, wounded, across the earth...
One of these days, flowers will bloom,
Each one blooming to the fullest in its own way.

Hitosuji no hikari sasu
Kurayami no hate
Yureru kaze
Samayoeru
Tamashii no kage

A single sliver of light shines
From the edge of the darkness --
The dancing wind,
And the wandering shadow
Of my soul...

Dokomademo tsudzuku owari no nai tabi
Soshite ikiru imi o shiru
Mune ni idaita hitotsu dake no ai
Mamori-tsudzukeyou

There's no end to this journey; it goes on forever,
And I learn the meaning of life...
I'll keep protecting
The single love I hold in my heart.

Mada minu ashita o koete yukeru sa
Kimi to naraba
Ikidzuku inochi ni takushita akai hana ga
Utsukushiku chiru toki mo
Saigo made mitodokeyou

I can't see tomorrow, but I can get through it
If I'm with you.
Even when the red flower of my living, breathing life
Dies beautifully,
I'll watch over you until the end.

Mada minu ashita o kaete yuku no sa
Kokoro no mama
Kizutsuki hashirinukete kita daichi no ue
Hana ga saku itsu no hi ka
Sorezore ni sakihokorou

I'll change the tomorrow I've yet to see...
I'll let my heart decide.
I ran, wounded, across the earth...
One of these days, flowers will bloom,
Each one blooming to the fullest in its own way.
